Benedictine University Mesa Announces Hunter Nail as New Head Women's Soccer Coach

Nail brings extensive coaching experience and a proven track record of success to the program.

After 18 seasons as head coach at Benedictine College, Nail joins Benedictine University Mesa, looking to continue his winning ways.

Mesa, AZ – December 19, 2023 – Benedictine University Mesa is thrilled to announce the appointment of Hunter Nail as the new head coach for the Women's Soccer program. Nail, who previously led the Benedictine College Women's Soccer team to unprecedented heights, brings a wealth of coaching experience and a remarkable track record of success to his new role.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Hunter Nail as the head coach of our Women's Soccer program," said Benedictine University Mesa Athletic Director Scott Cook. "His proven ability to develop players, build winning teams, and foster a positive team culture makes him the perfect fit for our university."

Nail led the Benedictine College Ravens to an impressive 277-86-26 record during his tenure, capturing seven conference championships and guiding the team to 12 NAIA National Tournament appearances, including a national runner-up finish in 2014. His unwavering commitment to player development has resulted in numerous All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American selections for his athletes.

"I am eager to build upon the strong tradition of the Women's Soccer program and lead this talented team to new heights. I believe in the potential of these student-athletes, and I am confident that we can achieve great things together."

Nail inherits a talented roster for the 2023 season, including several key returners and a promising group of incoming recruits. The Redhawks are poised to make a significant impact in the California Pacific Conference and compete for a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.

Benedictine University Mesa is a private, non-profit university located in Mesa, Arizona. The university is a member of the California Pacific Conference and offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. The Women's Soccer team competes in the NAIA and has a rich tradition of success.
